Eating too much meat hurts the planet as well as ourselves. Imagine how much more land will be available for growing food for us if it’s not used to grow feed for animals destined for the slaughterhouse. Imagine how much healthier we would be if we don’t eat so much meat our arteries get clogged up. And finally, imagine how much less likely we are of suffering a flu pandemic if flu viruses don’t get such a big chance of mixing and mutating in factory farms where animals are cruelly crammed into tight spaces that permit little or no movement.
